Description

• The Senior Director of Software Development will provide leadership and technical expertise within our dynamic Technology Department. • This role is a hybrid role that will work onsite 1-2 days per week at our Buffalo Grove, IL location. • Establish and implement software development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes to ensure robust and reliable software solutions. • Supervise and analyze metrics to assess performance and drive continuous improvement. • Define and complete the software development strategy in alignment with Onbe's goals. • Provide leadership on Lean/Agile principles and development practices. • Create an engineering culture that supports innovation and creativity while delivering high quality products with predictability and reliability.

Requirements

• Candidates possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. • 10 years+ in Director level position leading software development teams and delivering sophisticated software projects. • Experience with Java technologies and Data Engineering • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, architecture, and design. • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to empower and encourage technical teams. • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and provide a high level of attention to detail.
