• Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations and journal entries as a part of the financial closing process. • Review vendor invoices and other cash disbursement transactions for proper general ledger classification and expense recognition requirements. • Prepare adjusting journal entries as necessary. • Research and record all cash receipt transactions. • Perform day-to-day accounts receivable functions. • Assist in preparation of supporting documentation for year-end audit. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Works closely with members of the Finance team and other PPFA departments to accurately record financial transactions. • Collaborates with the Revenue Accounting team to reconcile all cash receipts transactions. • Coordinates with Accounts Payable to reconcile all cash disbursement transactions and review supporting documentation for vendor invoices. • Communicates with external parties on accounts receivable and accounts payable matters.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. • 1-2 years of professional accounting and financial management experience preferred. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with a dynamic, fast-moving team, completing multiple tasks with poise, accuracy, and confidence. • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • High proficiency in Google products and Microsoft Office. • Flexibility and ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities and ambiguous situations. • Commitment to PPFA’s mission and diversity, equity, and inclusion, particularly surrounding race equity. • A deep commitment to Planned Parenthood’s mission of promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health.
