Description
• Lead our markets, trading and counterparty practice area • Negotiate and draft complex legal agreements • Provide strategic legal advice • Ensure compliance with applicable laws • Represent the firm in disputes • Collaborate with cross-functional teams • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws • Onboard/launch new PM teams/businesses • Work closely with firm leadership
Requirements
• JD. from an accredited law school and admittance to a state bar • 7-10 years of experience with a law firm and/or as in-house counsel • Experience in dealing with institutional trading counterparties, including ISDA/CSA negotiations • Strong understanding of capital, liquidity and cross-default metrics • Superior legal writing skills, preferably with experience drafting bespoke agreements • Excellent analytical, organization, communication and interpersonal skills • Willingness to be very responsive • Effectively manage external counsel • Prioritize and handle multiple projects • Enjoy working independently and collaboratively • Eagerness to establish and maintain positive working relationships
