Description

• Lead and manage a team of 8 Sales Engineers globally, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance coaching. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sales engineering function, optimizing processes, tools, demo strategy and resources to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. • Collaborate with the sales leadership team to develop and execute effective sales strategies aligned with organizational goals. • Act as a trusted advisor to the sales team, providing technical expertise, product knowledge, and solution guidance throughout the sales cycle. • Build the value engineering function into a world class capability. • Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept to prospects and customers, showcasing the value and capabilities of our solutions. • Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams to provide feedback on product enhancements, identify market trends, and contribute to product roadmap development. • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, to drive customer satisfaction and sales success. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge in the market. • Provide the executive team with regular reporting and analysis on sales engineering activities, metrics, and performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of managing, building, and scaling Sales Engineering teams across different segments, ideally including experience managing across different geographies • 7+ years in a B2B, API-based, SaaS technical Sales Engineering role • Proven track record of mentoring others both interpersonally and via growth and development initiatives • Comfort with ambiguity and a passion for solving problems with scalable processes • Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, or similar languages, and UNIX-based operating systems • Experience with Force Management, Command of the Message • Experience building and leading value engineering function • Able to travel up to 25% (in a post-COVID world) • Nice to haves: • Exposure to payments or fraud prevention • Experience and familiarity with AI/ML platforms and technologies
