• Softheon is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator that will join our team to help build, maintain, monitor, support, diagnose, and repair Softheon’s physical and virtual systems and networking infrastructure. • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical guidance, and implement best practices to optimize our cloud-based systems. • Additionally, you may be needed to provide second level technical support escalation to the Softheon Helpdesk for the internal staff of Softheon.
• This role requires you to work EST hours. • This role requires you to be on-site at our Stony Brook Headquarters. • Availability to work occasional weekends and overnight hours as needed. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field • AZ-800 Certification Required • Must have at least one of the following certifications: AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-700. • 6-10 years of related Systems Administrator experience required • 5+ years of Microsoft server administration experience • Strong interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong etiquette for internal digital communications (email or ticketing) • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while managing simultaneous projects • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, independently, and in a team environment • Proficient in managing and maintaining server environments across both Linux and Windows platforms, including troubleshooting server-related issues, implementing robust security measures, and optimizing server performance for enhanced reliability and efficiency • Strong knowledge of Azure services and administration, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Active Directory, Azure Security Center, and Azure Monitor • Experience or familiarity with: • Microsoft Windows Server operating systems • Microsoft Office Suite • Server hardware troubleshooting techniques and software utilities • Microsoft Azure troubleshooting techniques and resolution • Microsoft Active Directory • Microsoft Server 2012, 2016, 2022 • Virtualization – Hyper-V/Azure HCI • Linux
