Description

• As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of the teams that designs, builds, and innovates our Backend Platform. • You will design, build, and innovate our libraries, tools and systems that enable Thrive’s product teams to deliver a world class product. • This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our product's reach and effectiveness, by empowering fellow engineers to improve the health & productivity of our users through science-backed behavior change. • We need a kind and caring team player who takes responsibility for organizational outcomes and is ready to collaborate with Business, Product, and Technology partners.

Requirements

• Production development experience in Kotlin, Java, or Scala • 5 or more years of software engineering experience; B2C platform or service experience is a plus • Experience building, running, and debugging scalable and reliable microservice-based applications • Strong understanding of systems and network design and their impact on application architecture • Ability to work well in a team setting, communicate effectively with other team members, and provide mentorship. • Relational database-driven RESTful and/or GraphQL API application architecture and design experience • Experience working with a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
