Description

• Be an expert on buyer personas, competitors, and our industry. • Engage with customers, prospects, and others in the market to understand needs. • Define market sizing, segmentation, targeting, and product value proposition. • Align with Product Management to understand the product roadmap and capabilities, and ensure alignment with customer needs and the customer journey. • Own product launch planning: plan, create, and lead the launch of new product releases or service offerings, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan. • Collaborate with Sales and Business Development to define effective sales channels for all products. • Provide content, thought leadership, tools, and training in support of product launches and joint GTM efforts with strategic partners. • Develop strategy and manage marketing programs that drive demand for our solutions. • Implement programs to support cross-sell/upsell opportunities. • Renew positioning for Billtrust by creating a customer-informed, differentiated position in the market with strong, achievable aspirations that allow for future mergers and acquisitions. • Develop messaging and value propositions tied back to the central positioning framework, providing simplicity for customers. Ensure messaging is sustainable and aligned with the strategic product roadmap. • Rationalize product naming by applying descriptive naming best practices and helping accrue value to the Billtrust master brand. • Lead analyst product briefings in partnership with the marketing communication and product management teams. • Attract, develop, and retain top-notch talent for the product marketing and market research teams. Be an active member of the marketing leadership team to further grow the marketing function within the company. • Drive stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration. • Manage marketing budgets and third-party agencies where required.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree combined with 10+ years of proven success in Product Marketing or Product Management leadership roles. • In-depth knowledge of both SaaS and Fintech; payments experience is a strong plus. • Experience in effective strategic planning and collaboration with Sales, Business Development, and Product Management. • Deep knowledge of and experience in developing market positioning by target persona, competitive differentiation, and the programs needed to reach enterprise as well as mid-market audiences. • Excellent written communication skills and well-honed presentation skills. • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. • Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time; visiting customers, prospects, and partners will be an essential part of this role. • Exposure to Pragmatic Marketing is a major plus.
