Description

• The Career and Financial Management Teacher will report to the principal or his/her designee. • In addition to teaching in the content area, the teacher may be required to teach an advisory class, an elective, or coach a sports program to support the whole child's growth. • Ongoing responsibilities include planning for special needs students of all ability levels, regular co-planning with colleagues, and offering opportunities for teachers to participate in various programs and development initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree and certification in the appropriate content area preferred& \n• Highly motivated to teach students from underserved areas and devoted to closing the achievement gap • Teaching experience in an urban school setting preferred • The ability to create a classroom setting where students of every academic level experience enjoyment, engagement, and enthusiasm in their learning • Strong teamwork ethic • Ability to use data to drive instruction
