Description

• Tax Provision and Reporting: Assist with the preparation of annual/quarterly tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including effective tax rate calculations and deferred tax analysis • Corporate Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and filing of federal and state corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines • Tax Planning and Strategy: Assist with tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position, minimize tax liabilities, and support overall business objectives, focusing mainly on US federal and state taxes • Work with external consultant to assess indirect tax applicability as necessary and manage indirect tax filings • Tax Controversy: Serve as the primary point of contact for US Federal and state tax authorities, manage tax audits and inquiries, and work to resolve tax controversies in a timely and efficient manner • Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, conduct tax research as needed, and provide guidance on the tax implications of business transactions and initiatives • Collaboration and Communication: Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, HR to provide tax support and guidance on various initiatives, transactions, and projects • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes, enhance efficiencies, and strengthen internal controls within the tax function

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or advanced degree (MST) preferred • Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, including experience at a public accounting firm and/or multinational corporate tax department • Strong technical knowledge of US corporate tax principles, including familiarity with international tax concepts and transfer pricing • Experience with ERP systems • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization
