Description

• Identify and recommend opportunities for growth, collaboration, and contract acquisition within the defense industry • Lead proposal teams in responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) • Manage multiple award schedules and provide timely recommendations to corporate level decision makers • Serve as Deputy Director, Program Management Office • Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans • Develop comprehensive business development strategies • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events • Assist in developing teams to win opportunities • Collaborate with technical teams to create compelling proposals • Work closely with cross-functional teams • Demonstrate deep understanding of applicable defense target programs and solutions • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies • Assist in the development and implementation of effective business development plans aligned with company goals

Requirements

• Retired senior officer or non-commissioned officer with distinguished military career • 10+ years’ prior experience working with government agencies, military personnel, and defense contractors • Minimum of 5 years’ direct experience in business development/capture management/proposal preparation • Minimum eligibility for a SECRET security clearance • Master's degree in operations, business, marketing, engineering, or related field • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required • Knowledge, experience, and success in winning captures and proposals of $5M+ • Familiarity with procurement processes and various contract vehicles used by the defense industry • Ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical concepts • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Results-driven individual with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals and targets • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and business development activities
