• Generate new business through cold calling, on average 40 calls per day. • Build and maintain a customer base by recognizing freight forwarding business opportunities. • Partner with internal subject matter experts to become well educated in all OEC products and services. • Offer solutions through OEC Group's services including ocean, air, warehousing & distribution, LTL & FTL transportation, cargo insurance and customs brokerage. • Achieve monthly sales quotas set by the sales management team. • Utilize Sugar (CRM) to track client's key information, build and maintain sales pipeline, and measure KPIs. • Work closely with the sales support team by reviewing quotes to ensure the client's needs are met. • Meet with current and potential clients within assigned territory. • Maintain consistent communication with other departments and overseas offices. • Monitor international freight forwarding market trends and conditions.
• 5-10 years of freight forwarding business development/outside sales experience • Possesses a book of business in international ocean, air and/or customs brokerage • Demonstrated hunter mentality to continuously bring in new business opportunities • Reliable transportation at the time of hire
