• Practising Law Institute (PLI) educates and informs lawyers and other professionals with innovative programs, publications, podcasts, and additional resources. • A nonprofit organization, PLI is also known for its dedication to providing pro bono training and resources to ensure access to justice. • We are searching for a technology professional to fill the role of Software Engineer, supporting PLUS.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience is required. • 4-6 years of experience in software development, or particularly impressive experience of shorter duration. • Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and common practices (code reviews, SCRUM, etc.) is required. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must. • Development experience using C# and ASP.NET Core MVC is a must. • Front-End development experience using TypeScript and React is preferred. • Experience with relational (e.g. MS SQL) or non-relational (e.g. MongoDB, CosmoDB, Redis) datastores. • Experience writing unit and integration tests using frameworks, and familiarity with tools like Postman. • Understanding of source code version control (GIT) and CI/CD (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins) processes. • Experience with full-text search engines such as Apache Solr or Elastic search. • Experience with Kafka, Java and .NET Maui is a plus. • Keeps up to date with market trends and other changes in technology.
