Description
• Lead the product design and development for industry changing Re:Build battery packs • Communicate across engineering teams to make program critical decisions • Identify core issues, develop solutions, and effectively communicate the impacts across internal and external teams • Create and deliver CAD models and presentations to customers • Develop supporting material for design such as bill of materials, assembly, or installation procedures • Ensure compliance to standards and battery pack performance needs • Work multi-functionally to verify battery software and hardware meet the system needs and battery pack requirements
Requirements
• 3 or more years of system design for lithium-ion battery packs or related technologies • Minimum 4 years of engineering experience for automotive, aerospace, industrial or related industries • Experience in design, developing and testing of battery systems for electrified propulsion or stationary energy storage • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including strong technical communication • Self-directed with strong leadership, team building, collaboration, organizational skills, and demonstrated problem solving ability • Demonstrated ability and interest in working in a fast-paced team environment • Basic understanding of UL, or similar, and regulatory certification processes • Proficient with CAD programs such as Catia or Solidworks • Familiar with analysis packages such as FEMAP and NASTRAN (or equivalent) • B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar with strong emphasis on practical work
