• Reddit is a community of communities. • The Privacy and Risk Security Engineering Team is scaling up. • Looking for a Information Security Engineer with a focus on Privacy. • You will be accountable for developing solutions to close gaps related to security. • Partner closely with cross functional stakeholders in Legal, Policy, and Trust and Safety.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in working with privacy, security, compliance and assurance policy applications in the software development lifecycle • Understanding of practical applications of privacy by design including data protection and/or cryptography • Experience with data privacy requirements stemming from regulatory and legislative mandates including CCPA, GDPR, and state data breach notification laws • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment • Ability to learn and research new technologies and standards rapidly, assess them for privacy exposures, and drive changes to enhance privacy • Strong interpersonal, consultative, consensus builder, and issue resolution skills • Proven verbal and written communication skills • Capable of conducting data privacy compliance reviews and audits. • Have the ability to develop Privacy and Product Compliance Awareness and communications at all levels within Reddit. • Ability to review, analyze and organize documentary and factual evidence • Ability to analyze and assess data privacy control capabilities and provide remediation recommendations • Experience writing and maintaining policies related to Privacy and Compliance at scale
