Description
• Focus on real estate debt opportunities for insurance platforms and private funds • Conduct due diligence of commercial real estate loan originations, warehouse line participations, secondary loan acquisitions and commercial real estate debt securities investments • Prepare and present due diligence materials, including asset-level and returns models as well as screening and investment committee memos • Ongoing monitoring of existing portfolio and quarterly valuations of investments • Assist in capital markets activities for levered strategies • Interfacing and negotiating with external counterparties
Requirements
• 2-4 years of experience in real estate finance groups at investment banks, real estate debt funds, or real estate loan origination platforms • Experience underwriting and executing commercial real estate loan originations, warehouse line participations, secondary loan acquisitions, and commercial real estate debt securities investments • Strong accounting, finance, underwriting, modeling, and problem-solving skills • Keen interest in the financial markets and good commercial instincts • Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a high-volume environment • Strong sense of urgency; ability to execute quickly and efficiently with strong attention to detail • Strong verbal and written communication abilities and ability to interact and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders • Comfort working in a high growth, iterative environment
