Description

• Responsible for operational control of corporate accounting • Manage public company monthly closings • Manage SEC and statutory reporting processes • Manage and motivate assigned staff • Provide financial support for ad-hoc projects • Evaluate and improve processes and workflows • Assist in updates and system conversions for general ledger • Manage pension plan accounting and bonus plans • Provide insight on current processes

Requirements

• BS or BA in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent, CPA license required • Minimum 8 years related experience, strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations • High energy with the ability to lead an accounting staff through transformational change • Prior supervisory experience required • Strategic thinker who possesses the ability to effectuate meaningful change and identify opportunities for process enhancement • Consistently demonstrates a ‘run it like you own it’ mentality and exemplary direction and supervisory skills • Excellent PC, Excel and Word skills • Strong analytical account analysis skills • Strong verbal communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate relevant business processes to both accounting and non-accounting members of senior leadership • Strong understanding of monthly closing, forecasting, and budgeting processes • Experience with Oracle (all modules) • Experience with Financial Systems and corporate applications.
