Description

• Manage monthly and quarterly closing process, reviewing journal entries and Oracle financial reports • Ensure timely and accurate closing of Oracle General Ledger for assigned accounting areas • Effectively manage, motivate, and train assigned staff • Provide services to MSG Sports as outlined in the transaction services agreement • Provide financial support for ad-hoc projects • Evaluate and identify areas of potential exposure and internal control weakness • Assist in updates and system conversions for general ledger and subledgers

Requirements

• BS or BA in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent, CPA license required • Minimum 5 years related experience, strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations • High energy with the ability to lead an accounting staff through transformational change • Strategic thinker who possesses the ability to effectuate meaningful change and identify opportunities for process enhancement • Consistently demonstrates a ‘run it like you own it’ mentality and exemplary direction and supervisory skills • Excellent PC, Excel and Word skills • Strong analytical account analysis skills • Strong verbal communication/interpersonal skills • Strong understanding of monthly closing, forecasting, and budgeting processes • Experience with Oracle (all modules) • Experience with Financial Systems and corporate applications
