Description

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and healthcare industry standards. • Collaborate with the Controller to manage the consolidation of financial results from various business units within Spring Health. • Lead the research, interpretation, and implementation of new accounting standards and regulations, providing technical accounting guidance to the finance team and other stakeholders. • Provide technical accounting support for complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, new products, revenue recognition, and equity compensation. • Collaborate with sales teams to review new contract terms and ensure appropriate technical accounting treatment. • Develop and implement financial reporting and technical accounting policies, procedures, and best practices to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the financial reporting process. • Monitor and communicate changes in accounting standards and regulations, particularly those impacting the healthcare sector. • Provide guidance and support to the finance team, ensuring accurate and consistent financial reporting and technical accounting across the organization. • Coordinate and prepare audit schedules, working closely with external auditors to ensure smooth and efficient audits. • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required. • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience, with at least 3-5 years in financial reporting and technical accounting at a public company. • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements specific to healthcare. • Extensive experience with technical accounting, including researching and applying accounting standards for complex transactions. • Working knowledge of Google Office Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.). • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
