Description
Sydecar’s subject matter expert leading tax compliance, automation, and strategic functions. Work closely with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams. Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and best practices. Utilize technology automation to connect product data to tax software. Manage vendor relationship with tax software. Respond to customer inquiries for information or clarification regarding their annual tax documents. Build and maintain a knowledge base to educate stakeholders regarding tax matters. Liaise with the Product team on building capabilities connecting investment events to tax software.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, tax, or related field. Active CPA designation. 7+ years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and strategy, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment. Experience with partnership tax preparation In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles, including an understanding of international taxation. An effective communicator, with a unique ability to explain and write about complex tax topics clearly and concisely. Decisive and considerate decision maker who can distill many viewpoints, prioritize needs, disseminate decisions, and execute on them in a precise and timely manner. Adept context switcher, who can meet each stakeholder at their knowledge level to share insight, information, and help. Strong empathy for our customer, our team, and solving our challenges.
