Description
• Collaborating closely with our engineering and technology teams, the Data Scientist will build predictive models and perform advanced statistical analyses to provide insights for optimizing our business. • Specifically, the job duties will include the following: • Applying fluent understanding of state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to build predictive models and recommender systems; • Applying deep understanding of statistics and probability to devise improvements to existing algorithms; • Contributing to developing and maintaining internal analysis software libraries; • Developing new intellectual property; • Analyzing large amounts of data to identify relationships and trends, translating them into actionable insights for our product team and clients; • Reporting findings, both orally and in written documents containing charts, graphs and tables
Requirements
• Masters’ degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, etc.) • 5+ years experience as a Data Scientist in a technology environment • Deep knowledge of statistics, probability, and machine learning techniques • Advanced experience in data manipulation tools (e.g., SQL, Python, pandas, pyspark) • Strong background designing and developing software to implement advanced analytic algorithms • A quick learner, with the ability to work independently and adaptably in a fast-paced environment • Strong strategic thinking capabilities and project management skills • Nice to have: • PhD in a technical field • Industry experience with development and deployment of predictive models or recommendation systems
