Provide financial management and leadership for restaurants in a network of companies.

• Lead accounting operations, including AP/AR, GL, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition
• Serve as a strategic advisor to company presidents, overseeing accounting and finance functions
• Evaluate and implement financial tools and systems, developing key business metrics
• Collaborate on financial budgets, forecasts, and strategic projects
• Develop internal control policies and document business processes
• Perform risk management activities
• Oversee treasury and cash management functions
• Support HR and payroll management
• Oversee month-end and year-end close process
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations (cash, credit card, A/R, A/P, etc.)
• Record fixed assets and depreciation
• Record and amortize prepaid expenses
• Calculate and record payroll/bonus accruals
• Calculate and record revenue/expense accruals as needed
• Review income statement accounts for classification and cutoff
• Submit TB, variance analysis, and monthly close checklist to OneStream
• Develop and maintain 13-week cash flow forecast to identify potential cash flow issues and propose solutions
• Book deferred revenue entries and reversals in the accounting system
• Review and book income tax entries from Teamshares
• Review trial balance regularly and make adjustments
• Provide support for quarterly sales tax returns
• Make year-end adjustments and prepare worksheets
• Assist with inventory adjustments associated with annual physical count
• Oversee lead bookkeeping/other related finance functions
• Prepare 1099s
• Work closely with the company President to prepare a financial forecast for the annual and quarterly strategic planning process
• Deliver key financial metrics, identify trends, and provide insights on business performance

Restaurant Group Financial Controller

Accountant

Record financial transactions and provide accounting support for multiple client companies.

• Responsible for recording financial transactions in the accounting systems for multiple client companies.
• Posts customer payments and maintains an up-to-date Accounts receivable aging report, as necessary.
• Records vendor invoices in client’s accounting system, uses accounting judgement to code expenses to proper ledger accounts, obtains authorization to pay, and schedules payments in automated payable system.
• Reconciles bank records to the general ledger accounts.
• Processes online payroll and records transactions in proper ledger accounts.
• Files sales and property tax as needed.
• Perform other accounting tasks as needed by individual clients.
• Diligently and accurately record time spent on multiple client engagements for budgeting and billing purposes.
