Description
• Lead Accounting function and oversee finance operations including financial reporting, tax, AP/AR, and cash management • Ensure timely and accurate month-end closes, with the ultimate goal of implementing continuous close protocols to provide real-time financial data. • Create, maintain, and enhance business policies, accounting policies, and financial controls. • Own sales tax compliance and reporting, including management of sales tax payment platforms • Proactively identify areas to reduce costs, increase income, and improve operations.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA and/or Master’s preferred. • 4+ years of public and private finance/accounting experience. • Prior experience with apparel, retail, e-commerce or other manufacturing and inventory-based business model strongly preferred. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Quickbooks Online. Prior experience with Shopify and with IMS or ERP systems strongly preferred. • Top-notch project management and process design skills. Passion for optimization. • Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Extreme attention to detail. • Strong sense of ownership and determination to get things done. Eagerness to learn and grow. • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FROM OUR NYC HQ
