Description

• Collaborate with product and design team members to best design medium to large projects balancing speed to market, user experience, business goals, and technical architecture quality • Own medium to large backend services and drive improvements across system design, observability, testing, performance, and support. • Drive backend development practices, patterns, and processes along with the other Regard backend experts • Mentor and review code from less experienced developers in our backend services across backend job processing, API, and other services • Maintain and improve the quality of the codebase and tooling in your area of responsibility by proactive fixes and improvements and through identifying and proposing projects to improve the overall backend codebase • Participate in operational activities supporting product areas you own including on-call, monitoring, and production support • Contribute as necessary across the stack (front end, infrastructure, AWS, etc) in order to unblock projects

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience • 5+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (Python preferred) • Able to participate in on-call operational support for their areas of responsibility • Able to travel up to 4 weeks a year for company co-working and/or retreat weeks
