Description
• Oversee all legal aspects of real estate business • Manage construction and development legal issues • Handle vendor agreements and compliance • Review leases and conduct site diligence • Provide legal advice on construction and leasing matters
Requirements
• JD or LLM • Member of New York bar in good standing • 5+ years commercial real estate experience, with title and salary dependent on years of experience, including heavy construction experience in an in-house legal department • Experience with construction and leasing (representing tenant), with focus in retail, and a rapidly expanding portfolio • Experience managing complex transactions and juggling conflicting deadlines • Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to innovate to resolve complex issues, attain business objectives and create efficiencies • Experience in restaurant/food industry, retail construction, and environmental health and safety matters
