Description

•Reporting to the Associate Director, Benefits & HR Administration, the Benefits Administrator will manage daily operations of all benefit programs offered to ACLU National staff and affiliates across all states & Puerto Rico. •Administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and other ancillary & voluntary benefits •Maintain plan records and ensure compliance with federal regulations •Ensure timely contributions to the defined contribution 401(k) plan •Audit & reconcile contributions to payroll records •Work with affiliate locations to obtain payroll records and maintain personnel files •Remit 401(k) contributions and audit accordingly •Reconcile payroll differences quarterly and annually •Prepare annual census for actuary and 401k vendor •Assist employees with benefits understanding and new hire onboarding •Provide assistance with annual retirement plan audit •Process benefits invoices monthly and reconcile payments

Requirements

•Demonstrated and relevant benefits & human resource experience working with benefit programs such as health & welfare, retirement, other voluntary benefits, and leaves of absence; 3+ years of experience preferred •Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing employee benefits, including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, and COBRA •Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, advanced Excel skills a plus •Ability to maintain a high level of discretion in handling sensitive & confidential information. •Strong analytical and communication skills
