Description

• Ensures the reliable operation of the 2i2c infrastructure leveraging cloud-based tools such as JupyterHub, BinderHub, and Dask • Attends support-facing tickets as part of a support rotation process/group • Explores emerging technologies in the Cloud / DevOps space and design and implement cloud computing architecture • Participates in upstream open source communities we rely on in partnership with established leaders • Work with a distributed and global team with a focus on autonomy and proactive communication

Requirements

• Experience with deploying applications on cloud infrastructure • Experience deploying and developing with container-based technologies like Docker and Kubernetes • Experience with continuous integration services • Experience in developing tools in Python • Experience collaborating and coordinating work via online platforms like GitHub, GitLab, or BitBucket • Experience working with distributed service teams using asynchronous communication • Working hours that overlap with US Pacific time zones Desirable Requirements: • Experience with major cloud providers • Leadership in open, collaborative projects • Experience working on geographically distributed open-source projects • Familiarity with the Jupyter ecosystem and interactive computing tools • Evidence of existing connections in the open source software ecosystem • Experience with common data science methods and infrastructures • Interpersonal skills to work with researchers and students
