• NYCEDC’s Grants Department is responsible for pursuing, overseeing and facilitating local, state, and federal grants for a broad array of EDC projects • The Grants Department coordinates with grantors, NYCEDC Project Managers, other departments and city agencies to ensure appropriate oversight of all grants • Reporting to the AVP of Grants, Portfolio Management, the Senior Project Manager (SPM) will develop and demonstrate a working understanding and knowledge of EDC Grant operational practices and policies • The SPM will have a solid understanding of grant and project management skills while assisting with systems updates, reporting and compliance tasks under the State and Federal grants portfolio
• Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree or relevant work experience preferred • 3 + years of relevant project management experience or equivalent preferred • Critical thinker with ability to define problems and identify and execute timely solutions required • Knowledge of city, state or federal government operations is a plus including understanding of budgeting, grant and contract management and public procurement • Knowledge of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) processes preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Database management experience preferred • Team player and self-starter with demonstrated analytical and time-management skills • Proven ability to meet deadlines • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills • Highly organized in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment • New York City residency is required within 180 days of hire
