Description
• Manage, support, and grow a diverse team of experienced engineers • Empower internal frontend developers to ship high-quality features • Define and build frameworks and best practices for Figma’s Frontend Javascript and Typescript codebase • Reshape client codebase to be more modular and performant • Define tooling and build deployment frameworks for efficient shipping of frontend code as Figma scales • Partner with product and engineering leadership to set strategy, priorities, and mission • Establish trust within and across teams by creating accountability and positive work environment • Grow career in an engaged and creative engineering community
Requirements
• 8+ years of frontend engineering experience • 2+ years of engineering management experience • Extensive experience with Typescript and React • Experience building complex web applications with modern frameworks • Demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing engineering team • Experience with other web frameworks like Redux, Atoms (a plus) • Experience with tools and frameworks for building Web applications like Webpack, CSS tools like Tailwind (a plus) • Experience with CI/CD of Web applications adopting best practices for testing and observability like Sentry, Datadog (a plus)
