Community Manager

Manage Moms First’s digital community, empowering mothers through engagement and resources.

• Develop and implement program strategy to grow the Motherhood into the largest, most powerful movement for moms in America
• Design, launch, and manage our premier digital home for moms to build community on and offline, access resources, and create change
• Ongoing recruitment and management of volunteers, as well as the implementation of community guidelines and moderation policies to ensure respectful and constructive interactions
• Listen, learn, and build relationships with members of the Motherhood to build trust and inform the creation of new products, resources, and campaigns
• Create and launch resources, workshops, and more to empower moms to take actions in their workplaces and communities
• Project manage digital campaigns end-to-end with tangible CTAs that drive impact for our moms
• Organize and host virtual and in-person events to drive community engagement, including moms’ participation in our annual Moms First Summit
• Develop and distribute Motherhood-related communications, including newsletters and promotional materials
• Analyze metrics and feedback to identify trends, measure the success of community initiatives, and inform overall grassroots strategy
• Curate content to stimulate community

Strategically expand Paidleave.ai and drive adoption of paid family leave benefits.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the expansion of Paidleave.ai to all 10 states with live paid leave programs
• Set and monitor goals to increase paid leave claims and adoption rates and drive traffic to paidleave.ai, ensuring alignment with Moms First’s mission and objectives.
• Manage a cross-functional team of subject matter experts and agencies to ensure Paidleave.ai is hitting its goals
• Support the Development team in meeting fundraising goals for Paidleave.ai to fund the program’s expansion.
• With our product development agency, oversee the continuous improvement of the Paidleave.ai product, enhancing user experience and functionality based on feedback from user interviews and focus groups.
• Drive the development and implementation of new features and educational prompts to better engage users and facilitate access to paid leave benefits.
• With the Director of Digital Organizing, identify and manage best-in-class creative agencies to develop, produce, and execute education and awareness campaigns that drive traffic to Paidleave.ai and ultimately increase paid leave awareness and claims, particularly in underserved communities.
• With the Director of Digital Organizing, mobilize Moms First’s network of supporters and grassroots advocates to amplify awareness campaigns and drive targeted action.
• Forge partnerships with community-based organizations in health, job training, unions, disability benefits, and more to disseminate information about Paidleave.ai and build trust within diverse communities.
• With the COO, develop and execute a strategy to partner with large employers of front-line workers to promote paid family leave benefits to their employees and provide necessary resources and guidance.
• Oversee the evaluation and research efforts to measure the impact of Paidleave.ai on increasing paid leave claims and adoption rates.
• Analyze data to assess the economic outcomes for families and communities, providing insights for continuous improvement and reporting to stakeholders.
• In Year Two, identify an advocacy strategy and approach to build relationships at the state-level that leverages PaidLeave.ai’s insights to expand and improve paid family leave policies, addressing affordability, increasing benefits, and streamlining application processes.

Director of Paidleave

Human Resources

Provide support and assistance within the People & Culture team at Girls Who Code

• Assist with the maintenance of electronic personnel files and filing systems (actives, terminations, I9’s, etc.)
• Send new hires required compliance trainings and track status to ensure completion
• At least two years of related experience; prior work at a non-profit is a plus
• Experience with benefits, onboarding, and record retention
• Work within our hybrid model (2 days per week in-office)

• Leading the movement to inspire, educate, and equip young women with the skills to pursue careers in technology fields
• Searching for a proven results-oriented leader to serve as the Director of Community Partnerships & Outreach to spearhead the strategic expansion of K-12 Programs
• Responsible for developing and executing national Clubs expansion strategy and work plans
• Leading the Community Partnerships & Outreach Team in developing multi-channel national initiatives and regional outreach strategies
• Cultivating and managing a portfolio of high-profile national-level and international-level organizations to position Girls Who Code as a thought leader in the K-12 STEM landscape
