Lead SOX compliance efforts for the zone at Hunter Douglas.

• Responsible for leading and oversee the zone’s SOX compliance efforts by collaborating with local controllership teams, business leads, process owners, and internal /external audit.
• Close monitoring and coordination with the local SOX process owners to ensure satisfactory SOX testing grades
• Drive SOX compliance across the zone, educate, consult, evaluate, advise process owners, update the internal SOX controls, and risk mitigation.
• Maintain an adequate and updated internal control environment for the assigned zone.
• Oversee the zone’s quarterly SOX certification process.
• In charge of facilitating, coordinating and compiling the information and documentation to be provided to the SOX testers (internal and external)
• Manage and continuously leverage the SOX management software (AuditBoard)
• Lead initiatives to improve internal controls, including deployment of systems, tools and other activities to become a trusted advisor and strategic leader for the organization.

SOX Compliance Manager

General Counsel

Collaborate to design and implement a global compliance program across various business units.

• Provide expert counsel to business stakeholders on a variety of global compliance issues, including data privacy and security, anti-corruption, sanctions, whistleblowing, and general third-party risk management.
• Lead internal investigations into potential compliance issues, respond to complex regulatory or governmental inquiries, manage helpline reports and caseload, ensure effective implementation of remediation plans, and report progress to HD leadership.
• Lead the global compliance training strategy and develop related materials, including communications, ensuring that the HD’s staff understand all relevant legal and ethical obligations.
• Develop, periodically update, and manage HD’s Code of Business Conduct and policies, including the Delegation of Authority Policy, in line with leading guidance on corporate compliance programs.
• Manage HD’s Global Data Protection Framework and partner with Information Security to investigate and remediate data incidents, file breach notifications, and engage with regulators as needed.
• Develop and advise on processes to manage potential risk posed by third parties in all areas of the business, including M&A, particularly with regard to anti-corruption, sanctions, modern slavery, and other trade restrictions.

Financial Planning and Analysis

Analyze financial performance and support decision-making for a leading window coverings manufacturer.

• Provide valuable performance analysis and reporting to senior management on a timely basis
• Liaise with executive management, division controllers and financial staff and department managers regarding the financial activities of the divisions as necessary
• Own daily reporting to senior leadership, ensuring timely and accurate updates on key financial metrics and performance indicators
