Description
• Support the cloud modernization of the Department’s Health Management System (HMS) • Provide subject matter expertise to design and establish the cloud environment • Perform configuration and optimization of the centralized IRIS instance • Collaborate with the CHMS Team to develop the data migration strategy • Implement ETL processes to migrate data into the centralized environment • Monitor database performance and gather baseline metrics
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree • Ten (10) years of documented experience as a Database Manager managing and optimizing InterSystems IRIS and Cache databases • Five (5) years of documented experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud • Documented extensive experience in multiple database migrations • Documented experience in consolidating and centralizing databases • Expertise in designing and implementing backup strategies and disaster recovery plans in a cloud environment • Documented experience tuning database for performance by optimizing queries, indexing strategies, and server configurations • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages for database tasks • Documented experience with tools like PowerShell, Bash, or Python • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
