Description

• Oversight for establishing and maintaining activities to develop, locate and secure job opportunities for program participants. • Marketing programs and coordinating job and occupational skills training resources for clientele. • Manages a team of employment specialists, job developers, and workshop facilitators. • Visits staff at various sites to ensure performance standards are maintained. • Collaborates with other staff for best outcomes for participants. • Attends community meetings to maintain relationships with partners. • Establishes relationships with employers and community service providers. • Drives team to locate jobs for participants who have completed training programs and assists with job seeking skills. • Monitors collection of data from employers related to job orders. • Performs internal audits to ensure program compliance. • Keeps updated regarding job fairs in the area. • Develops employer resources and maintains a job bank. • Oversees staff delivery of job readiness training workshops.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree • FIVE years of experience in management, sales, marketing, job development, social/human services and/or employment and training programs working with disadvantaged adults. • Understanding on how to navigate and assist the shelter population to seek and engage in employment services. • Supervisory experience. • Excellent computer skills and experience of using and running reports in a database. • Ability to effectively market and represent programs, clients and services to employers. • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally. • Utilization of time management techniques to organize and prioritize work to meet contracted deadlines & timelines. • Reliable vehicle to get to all scheduled sites. • Ability to divide time at all assigned work sites. • Promotion of professional development of the team. • Holding the team accountable to themselves and to leadership. • Maintain focus on contractual outcomes while developing a highly proficient employment service program.
