• The Health Law Attorney will be responsible for advising and representing healthcare providers, institutions, and organizations in matters related to regulatory compliance and defense. • Develop and implement strategies to manage risk and ensure compliance with a broad range of healthcare regulations. • Partner with various departments to ensure effective risk management and adherence to regulatory standards. • Continuously monitor healthcare regulations, interpret complex legal requirements, and ensure ongoing compliance across the organization. • Offer expert advice and strategic guidance to client business teams and leaders on navigating intricate legal issues related to healthcare regulations. • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to healthcare services, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and employment agreements. • Conduct internal investigations related to compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions. • Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations. • Support litigation efforts related to healthcare compliance issues, including preparing legal documents, gathering evidence, and representing clients in court or administrative hearings.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Active license to practice law in New York, in good standing. • Minimum of 10 years of experience in health law, with a focus on compliance and defense. • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and defense strategies. • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills. • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. • Proven track record of handling complex compliance and defense cases. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Commitment to providing high-quality legal services and building strong client relationships.
