Description

• Develop and implement sponsorship sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. • Identify and target potential sponsors through research, analysis of industry trends, company profiles and thought leadership communications objectives. • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers at target organizations. • Collaborate with internal partners to create customized sponsorship packages that align with sponsor objectives and meet organizational goals. • Negotiate sponsorship agreements and contracts ensuring terms and conditions are favorable to both parties. • Work with Client Services team who will assist in managing the execution of sponsor benefits to ensure timely and accurate deliver of sponsor commitments. • Provide regular reporting via Salesforce, including revenue forecasts, pipeline and progress against targets. • Maintain a high level of knowledge of industry trends and best practices related to sponsorship sales.

Requirements

• Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred. • Experience: At least 5-10 years of experience in sponsorship sales or business development for conferences or events. • Sales Skills: Excellent sales skills with a proven track record of exceeding targets, generating revenue and managing client relationships. • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills to effectively communicate with clients, prospects, and team members. • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to successfully close deals with sponsors. • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and market trends to develop targeted sponsorship packages and pricing strategies. • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software, email marketing tools, and other technology to manage and track leads and sales. • Team Player: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including, audience, programming, production. • Passion: Passion for driving revenue, nurturing client relationships and a love for creativity and idea generation.
