Description

• Drive measurable and meaningful top-of-funnel growth, as measured by new paying subscribers. • Build a roadmap of experiments to run in both existing and new channels and execute on that roadmap with an emphasis on speed and high-quality output. • Test new channels, managing strategy and execution from start to finish. If early tests are impactful, bring on contractors or agencies to scale up efforts. • Meaningfully accelerate ongoing work in paid marketing, SEO, affiliate, conversion-rate optimization and influencer marketing. Set clear goals and make changes to channels as needed. • Conduct quantitative research to address specific growth questions, such as identifying characteristics of users with high retention. This includes drafting project requirements, auditing and collecting data (with support from the engineering team or using analytics tools), running calculations in Google Sheets or SQL, and presenting findings in an easily understandable format. • Work with agencies and contractors as needed, handling recruiting, management, negotiation, and communication. • Report learnings internally to the founders and team on a regular basis. • Coordinate with the product and engineering teams to implement growth-oriented product changes across our application.

Requirements

• 7+ years experience as a growth leader for a B2C consumer product. Former experience as a founder is a plus. • World-class understanding of at least 1-2 quantitative channels (SEO, Influencer Marketing, and Paid Media Channels) • Significant experience in 3-4 other channels (e.g., viral, PLG, content, etc.). • Expert understanding of consumer lifecycle analytics and metrics (e.g., retention, activation, MRR, etc.) • Advanced technical and quantitative skills, including the ability to create and maintain data pipelines, run queries, etc. • Excellent written communication skills, as most of the work is async. • Excellent ability to be scrappy and propose projects and solutions that will move the needle across a variety of situations. • Significant overlap with US time zones (the core team is spread from New York City to Honolulu). • You love writing reading, and are connected to the writing community. (Is a big plus)
