Description

• Plans manpower and equipment requirements – capacity planning. • Develops and maintains an effective organization through selection, training compensation and motivation of all personnel. • Responsible for daily/weekly production planning to meet customer requirements of quality, quantity, and delivery. • Responsible for inventory control and cycle counting. • Oversee purchasing of components for manufacturing. • Directs activities that provide assurance that safety, health and environment rules and regulations are met and exceeded. • Ensures safety and 5S good housekeeping requirements are implemented and maintained. • Initiates various programs that lead to improved quality, lower costs, and overall efficiency – ex. Scrap reduction, rate boards, constraint cell, etc. • Directs the various department managers in the preparation and implementation of plant operating plans. • Plans, coordinates and ensures that “Quality System” requirements are fully followed in manufacturing. • Provides expertise to the line organization in the development of standards of performance in all areas of product responsibility. • Determines plant policies consistent with Plant Manager, division, corporate policies and then directs and supervises the application of such policies to the plant’s manufacturing operations. • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by local regulatory agencies. • Manages shipping/receiving group. • Handles personnel matters at plant level with Human Resources Manager. • Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget. • Maintain and develop TS16949 for manufacturing and materials control. • Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.
