• Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers at banks, special servicers, debt funds, private lenders, hedge funds, CDO/CLO managers, and other market participants • Evaluate bank balance sheets, earnings reports, and other financial data to develop loan sale strategies • Understand loan valuation, trading, and buy-side considerations • Be knowledgeable about legacy mortgage products and securitization matters • Participate in industry conferences and events • Develop new business proposals for potential clients • Maintain detailed tracking of business development activities • Provide sophisticated new business proposals involving strategy and valuation analysis • Work as part of a team to achieve objectives
• Prior experience as a bank/FIG analyst or in investment banking sell-side analyst coverage • Strong knowledge of mortgage, real estate, or structured products • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and database management • Strong business writing skills • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize work effectively • Genuine interest in debt capital markets and real estate • Willingness to take on responsibility and work collaboratively in a team environment
