• HR experience (preference for some experience in a startup environment) • Track record of success leading company-changing people-related initiatives • Strong familiarity with HR best practices, as well as legal, compliance and cultural issues likely to be encountered by a business of our nature • Strong business acumen and problem solving skills • High social and emotional intelligence. You truly enjoy cultivating strong relationships with people growing and helping them grow their careers • Flexibility as a leader who can operate at a highly strategic level, but can also perform tactical HR-related duties for the company • Excellent communication skills with strong ability to listen and empathize and handle difficult conversations • High degree of comfort working in a team with, and influencing other executives • Advocates for both our employees, and for the financial and compliant health of our business, understanding how to balance the two with grace. • You know your way around technology and have a keen sense of sharing information across multiple departments. We use Google Apps, Dropbox, Slack, Lever, Lattice and JustWorks.
