Description

• Play a pivotal role in core functions of HR department • Responsibilities encompass employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance with labor laws and company policies • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and management alike, offering guidance on HR-related matters, resolving employee issues, and ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment • Involve travel within the region and New York State about 25% of the time

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, liberal arts or a related field • 3+ years of experience in an HR generalist role that includes responsibility for employee relations • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and HRIS systems. ADP, Paycom, and Workday experience a plus • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations • Strong relationship building and communication skills, including an ability to work and build trust across cultural differences related to race, class, age, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, national origin and ability; and to reflect on one’s personal identity with humility
